An experienced volunteer is needed to help the Good Samaritan Hospital in La Romana organize and upgrade their operating room services.  Responsibilities and experience in areas such as communication, organization of surgeries, planning, sterilizing, coordinating services, equipment needed, training of staff and other educational opportunities are all important for this position.  The hospital is transitioning to laproscopic, arthroscopic and less invasive procedures and is in need of a person to train and implement appropriate operating room protocols as well as being a resource for visiting surgical teams.  Communicating between current staff and Kristy Engel is very important.  OR experience is required.  Minimum age, 21 years old.  One month minimum, more is preferred
