BCYM Camp 2011
Camp Timeframe: April 11-13, 2012 or June 27-29, 2012

Project: Participate in 3-day camps for children who come from backgrounds of extreme hardship, including children’s homes and marginalized communities. The aim of both camps is to provide vulnerable children with a variety of opportunities for development in a recreaional setting that demonstrates the Lord’s love.
There are 50 children per camp (ages 8-13)
Activities include:
~ hymns, devotions and Bible discussions
~ group games and activities
~ arts & crafts
~ daytrips, cultural/educational outings
~ shared meals and accommodation
**Mission Team Timeframe: 8 days as follows
~ 2 for travel (to and from Lebanon)
~ 2 preparation prior to the camp
~ 3 working days (Wed through Friday)
~ 1 for site-seeing
The ideal visiting Mission Team would have 7 members (age 18+) who are suitable for working with the unique needs of vulnerable children, and who would be able to share the following skills:
~ Sports leadership
~ Teaching experience
~ Gifted speaking
~ Nursing
~ Mentorship (for pastoral care and counseling)
~ Arts and crafts
~ Photography
Costs that Mission Team members should take into account in addition to their airfare to and from Lebanon include US$100/person/day for accommodation (Full-board/Double Occupancy), transportation, and a one day site-seeing trip within Lebanon.
