Peeping chicks, sewing machines and clean water are among the global peace gifts available to give to people in need through American Baptist International Ministries (IM) Global Peace Gifts program.

This popular annual Christmas gift drive allows families and churches to choose a gift to give to someone in need in the world.  This year Global Peace Gifts start at $28 for one clean water bucket and filter and go up to $1,000+ for clean water for an entire village.

Each Global Peace Gift has been selected by an IM missionary because he or she knows the deep needs and challenges of the people served.  Whether it’s a goat for milk and breeding, a sewing machine to help a mother earn her first paycheck, or a year of nutritious meals for a preschooler, these gifts will bring blessing and peace to a deserving person.

To select from among the 18 available gifts online, go to http://www.internationalministries.org/drives/5 . If you’d like to see additional projects, go to http://www.internationalministries.org/projects.  For further information, or to request a printed global peace gifts reply form, call Jill at 1-800-222-3872, ext. 2208.

The gift you select will be personally delivered to the family, village, school or church by an IM missionary or by a local Christian partner. You will receive a thank-you letter and gift receipt for tax purposes within six weeks, and peace in knowing you have shared a deeply meaningful gift with a family thousands of miles away.

Thank you for helping people in need this Christmas!
