Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As of noon today we have received $235,000 at International Ministries for Haiti Relief.  We know that additional contributions are coming through normal denominational channels which we expect to see around the third week in February. We don't know the extent of those contributions as of yet.

We have also received a draft proposal from our primary partner in Haiti, the Convention of Baptists in Haiti. This preliminary plan calls for the expenditure of at least US$1,000,000 in the short and medium term for feeding families, providing health care, orphan care, schooling, and economic development and etc. More details including personnel required will be forthcoming. A preliminary plan for the rebuilding phase will be developed later.
