As a part of the Noyes Mission Partnership Team, I committed to doing a monthly prayer article with some one-line Prayer items. A MPT's purpose is to enable missionaries to be more effective through increased communication. One aspect of that is prayer. If the prayer items we mention are too brief it can be arranged to get e-mails that give considerable more information. My task is to provide about five one line prayer items. Each month I would also like to include a short article on the Noyes, some aspect of their work or Congo events that will impact the Noyes work.

Prayer items:
- Elections in Congo. Elections in Congo have been rescheduled several times. They were scheduled for June now it is July. Will they happen? We will see. Credibility in the government is eroding. Pray for orderly elections. If they happen or not, pray that the witness of God's love will be abundant.
- Praise for the time Miriam had with family. Miriam Noyes has been in the States for a couple of months. Her father has been ill and she was able to spend time with her parents Arley and Ruth Brown. She attended her son Mark's graduation from the University of Redlands, California. Miriam and Reba, their daughter, returned to Congo on June 14. Pray for Miriam as she returns to her friends and work in Congo. Pray for Ed and Miriam as they are reunited.
- Pray for Linsay Roberts as she does a summer mission intern in DR Congo. She traveled with Miriam and Reba.
- Pray for Rose Mayala the literacy coordinator that works with Miriam. False accusations have been made about things she didn't do. Pray for mended relationships and mended reputation.
- A mission work group of five is going to Congo July 27 - August 15. This group will do a small work project at Lusekele and start planning for work projects for 2007 and 2008. Pray for safety for the work group going to Congo, that they will accomplish their goals, and that their lives will be impacted for Jesus by this experience. A Praise update: The group will be taking out 20 hand crank tape players for the literacy work among the Pigmies. Spokane Valley Baptist youth raised the money.
