Restoring Sight to Haitian Children

This project seeks to raise $2,640 per month to provide 24 children each month with cataract operations plus provide glasses to children that need them.

Goal: $110 for 1 child’s cataract surgery

About this Mission Project

Many children in Haiti are malnourished; their mothers had no pre-natal care and they don’t wear sunglasses in the unrelenting tropical sun. These factors mean that children develop cataracts at an early age.

Life in Haiti is difficult for all but without eyesight it is impossible to go to school and have any chance of a better future.

The Cap Haitien Eye Clinic could change the lives of scores of children, just as Jesus restored sight to the blind. This project is an excellent illustration of how Chrsitian love when strangers make it possible for them to have cataract surgery and restore their eyesight.

Mission Project Specifics

This project seeks to raise $2,640 per month to provide 24 children each month with cataract operations plus provide glasses to children that need them. The number affected will be determined by the amount of funds we receive. This project will be managed by IM missionary Nzunga Mabudiga at the Cap Haitien Eye Clinic.

Hundreds of children could benefit from this project annually improving their health and creating opportunities for education and employment.
